Laura Bock

Laura Bock, a Maryland native, is entering her final year as a Ph.D. student in Music and Human Learning at The University of Texas at Austin. Her research explores goal setting, musician wellness, and teacher retention in music education.

She holds degrees from James Madison University (music education and flute performance) and UT Austin. Bock has taught band in Virginia and Kansas, performed with the Charlottesville Symphony, and co-conducted the Harmony Project KC Wind Ensemble. She is passionate about working with students across age groups and musical disciplines.
