A native of Honduras, Jorge has pursued a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in music performance with Prof. Felix Renggli at the Musik Akademie Basel and at the Mozarteum Universität Salzburg Austria under Michael Martin Kofler. He has served as an  auxiliary musician in the Basel Symphony Orchestra, Gürzenich Orchester Cologne among others, and had a contract as an academic at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Dusseldorf, Germany.  In 2024 he won the 5th Grenchen International Soloist Competition for Flute. Just this month he won the audition for Co-Principal Flute ( temporary contract) at the Staatsorchester-Staatsoper Hannover.
