In an exciting collaboration with the Farnborough Symphony Orchestra of the United Kingdom, MPIMC is proud to announce the first ever MPIMC Concerto Competition! MPIMC will fly the winner of the competition to London to perform the complete Reinecke Concerto during the 20-21 FSO season (January 2021) under the direction of William Carslake.

The preliminary round was heard by seven judges from the USA and Europe from which seven semi-finalists were selected. The semi-final round was aired during the MPIMC Online Sessions in May 2020, and three candidates were selected by a new jury to pass through to the Final Round.

For the final round, five judges from the USA and Europe, chaired by Marina Piccinini, will listen to the three finalists perform the complete Reinecke Concerto by memory. Finals will be streamed during the MPIMC Fall Sessions from November 12-16, 2020.
