Brian Gokey
Brian Gokey is a dedicated amateur flutist from Massachusetts. He began his musical journey in high school and earned a degree in flute performance from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, continuing private study with Virginia Sindelar and Robert Stallman.
While his professional life has followed a diverse and multi-faceted path—spanning careers in banking, real estate, hospitality, and commercial aviation—music has remained a lifelong passion. He plays modern, baroque, and piccolo flute, practices daily, and has performed with several community orchestras and at summer programs including Wildacres.
He has a strong interest in flute pedagogy, particularly in holistic approaches such as Alexander Technique and Body Mapping, and maintains an active curiosity in both historical flutes and contemporary innovations.
